Dealing with Anxiety


Anxiety and worry are two common human emotions that we all feel at times. We only notice them when these feeling occur regularly and become excess. There are people who have very high levels of anxiety and often realize it late till it becomes a problem. We all need help while dealing with anxiety. If we do not find a solution in dealing with anxiety, it can become excessive and unhealthy.

If you are suffering from anxiety do not immediately seek for a complete relief as the solution. Everyone should remember that anxiety is completely curable Firstly try to identify what is the reason of your anxiety. If it has become excessive then you may have to go for a treatment. There are different kinds of symptoms for anxiety like getting panic, fear, phobia and all. Secondly talk about the cause of your worry to a counselor. Try to figure out how you react in different situations.

Try to avoid the situation which become the cause of your anxiety. Try to learn more about treating anxiety. Reading may be quite helpful in dealing with anxiety.

Develop methods of problem solving attitude observe how others cope with anxiety. Medication can be very helpful for people when they are coping with certain kinds of anxiety. Some people get into alcohol or drugs to overcome anxiety but this not the solution for dealing with anxiety.

The way we think is directly related with the feeling of anxiety. Always try to think positive and build confidence in yourself. Always try to take a step by step approach to overcome anxiety. Do not get demotivated by outside pressures like success or failure, the outcome of consequences like grades, peer pressure, competitiveness and all. Try to revise your past performances to improve in future. If you have to give an examination, try to answer it with full confidence.

Look for stress busters, go for an exercise program, try to get 8 hours of good night's sleep. Fresh fruits and vegetables are good to reduce stress. Try to take small breaks in between work which will help you take your mind off of your anxiety. Try to avoid high sugar content food like chocolates and candy. These will help you in dealing with anxiety.

Try to listen to relaxation tapes, music, meditation, and prayer. These can develop and help to deal with anxiety or panic feelings. Try to educate yourself and your family with the causes and symptoms of anxiety. Try to manage your time so that you are not stressed with the loads of work at your office. If you feel anxiety lie down for few minutes and you see that the feeling of anxiety dies off within no time.
